Monthly Meetings

Monthly meetings are typically held on the last Saturday of each month at 3:00 PM. The meeting location is Fondren 5 Star Kennel, 1442 Fondren Rd., Missouri City, Texas 77489, (281) 835-4445. If there is a special event or dog show in our area, our meetings may be held at a different location in conjunction with those events. If you are not on our mailing list, and would like to determine the exact location of a monthly meeting, please contact the club secretary at gulfcoastbtc@earthlink.net for that information.

ROM Shows
July 18, 19, 20, 2008
In conjunction with the Reliant Park World Series
of Dog Shows


The TGCBTC will be supporting the Houston, Beaumont and Galveston
County Kennel Clubs with ROM points and Breeder Judges.


Judges who will be awarding BTCA ROM Points are:

adjacent to Reliant Park with a private entrance into the parking lot for easy access to walk from the
hotel or a shuttle service for you and your dogs will be provided. Priority Club Members will receive
free breakfast and / or cocktail coupons each day.)

Recent Events:

The Reliant World Series of Dog Shows, July 19-22 at the Reliant Center in Houston Texas.

The club and our friends entered 39 Bull Terries for the 3 days of all breed shows Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Our members manned our booth and participated in Meet The Breeds. The members, our friends and our dogs were great ambasadors for the breed.

The breed counts for the 3 days were:

  1. Friday -
    17 BULL TER COLOR 5-4- 3-5
    20 BULL TER WHITE 8-7- 2-3

  2. Saturday -
    19 BULL TER COLOR 6-4- 3-6
    20 BULL TER WHITE 8-7- 2-3

  3. Sunday -
    19 BULL TER COLOR 6-5- 3-5
    19 BULL TER WHITE 8-7- 2-

 

March 23-25, 2007 numerous members attended and participated in the Bull Terrier Club of Dallas Specialty Show held in conjunction with the Ft. Worth Kennel Club Show.

July 20-23, 2006 will find the TGCBTC at the Houston Reliant World Series of Dog Shows. We have a Club Booth reserved and will be participating in Meet The Breed. Please join us in promoting our wonderful bull terriers.

The TGCBTC has held monthly meetings since forming the club in January of 2005. Initial meetings were conducted by the founding members of the club and membership has grown from the initial seven members to thirty six members as of January 2006.


The TGCBTC participated in the Fido Fest sponsored by the Lone Star Boxer Club on June 3, 2006. This festival was in support of rescue efforts for many breeds and provided the Club with an opportunity to promote Bull Terrier Rescue.


Heart Clinic

May 13, 2006. Dr. Kyle Brayley, DVM, Diplomat, ACVIM, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, conducted a heart clinic for the TGCBTC.


January 28, 2006: TGCBTC All Breed Fun Match. Despite the rain, we had 50 people there at one time, numerous all breed dogs and 19 bull terriers! We had participants and judges from as far as Dallas. What an event!


November 2005: TGCBTC Members exhibited their bull terriers at the Cy-Creek Kennel Club Show and Fort Bend Kennel Club Show in Katy, Texas.. Members of the club received Best of Breed awards in Colored and White Bull Terriers, both days.


October 29, 2005. TGCBTC held a "Fun Match" at Fondren 5 Star Kennel in Missouri City, Texas after the October monthly club meeting. Various young bull terriers, experienced older dogs and even Rescue Bull Terriers participated in the match to the delight of all in attendance.


October 2005: TGCBTC Members promoted the club at a booth at the Bull Terrier Club of America Trophy Show “Silverwood 2005” in Columbus, Ohio.


October, 2005: TGCBTC Members participated in the Haliburton Rescue Day.


July 21-24, 2005: Reliant Park World Series of Dog Shows. Members and their dogs manned a Specialty Breed Booth and participated in "Meet the Breed” where the public was able to meet and have first hand contact with Bull Terriers. For many it was the first time they had the opportunity to see and pet a Bull Terrier. A great time was had by all. Some of our members dogs were exhibited in conformation competition all four days. Our dogs posted numerous wins.
