Seven of our current rescues are going through heartworm treatment - which is expensive! We have had many emergency medical cases in recent weeks: Trooper and Carli both needed major surgery for leg injuries, Bowie was hit by a vehicle and had to have his tail amputated as well as surgery for a pelvic injury.
